The villa has a master sitting rooms with terrace, a second sitting room with pool views, a large dining room for 10, a large designer kitchen with utility room, a games room, gym and WiFi throughout.

The villa is set around a large central courtyard with a stone brick pizza oven and a barbeque area and there are three terraces for al fresco living. Four bedrooms (3 doubles and one twin) are located on the second floor, whilst a fifth bedroom (double) is located at ground level and has its own terrace an access to the courtyard. Each bedroom has air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and guests are supplied with Ferragamo Salvatore toiletries and slippers.

The heated infinity pool is open April to mid-October, the water in the pool is natural spring water from the estates well and is treated lightly with chlorine for safety. The pool is ring-fenced from other areas of the garden and is surrounded by wide open lawns. The two hectares of secluded gardens are filled with vines, olives, cypress trees and local herbs. The estate produces its own extra virgin olive oil and spring water from its natural well.

The  villa is 4km from Gaiole in Chianti which was named by Forbes Magazine as the most idyllic place in Europe to live. Gaiole in Chianti is located in central Tuscany and is perfectly situated as a base to explore all of Tuscany’s key sites. Florence, Siena and Cortona are under one hour drive away. Gaiole in Chianti is also the home of the international vintage bike race L’Eroica which takes place on the surrounding country tracks. The nearest shops, delicatessen, butcher, drugstore and bars are in Gaiole in Chianti. There is also a fruit and vegetable shop, hairdressers, pizza restaurants and a small children’s play area. Also nearby are the pretty villages of Radda in Chianti, Lecchi and San Sano, all with a selection of individual restaurants, bars and artisan shops. Local wine estates include Ricasoli with Brolio castle which was the birthplace of Chianti wine.

The  has a proud 500 year history both as an important farmhouse and as a look-out for monitoring the advance of the armies of Florence and Siena as they waged war against each other over several centuries. The villa’s thick stone walls, central courtyard structure, strategic hill top position and watch tower represent this history.
